What is 13 Minutes Magazine?  We are an Asian American magazine dedicated to bringing you quality words and pictures about the Asian American experience.  We cover all the areas of life that are most pertinent to  Asian Americans today, including fashion, cuisine, film & TV, health & beauty, travel and life.  In addition to our quality articles, our team of photographers also capture and produce artistic and professional photo galleries to help capture the Asian American experience.

Why is the magazine called 13 Minutes? The true meaning of the magazine's name will forever remain an enigma as we do not plan to reveal it any time in the near future.  We enjoy the fact that it puzzles people and is difficult to decipher.  We, of course, have running jokes concerning the origin of our name:

  1. It takes 13 Minutes to read one of our magazine from cover to cover.
  2. We don't deserve the full 15 minutes of fame so 13 will have to do.
  3. We wanted 13th Hour but it was already taken.

What we call the magazine doesn't matter.  It's what we produce that matters.  Our focus is entirely on bringing the Asian American communities together so that we can recognize, celebrate, and honor all that we accomplish in today's world.

13 Minutes was first published in 2006 with acclaimed success for its photography and production quality.  At the time, the magazine was published by iMatrix, Inc.

The magazine is being brought back to life in 2011, by Access Group Media, Inc.  We will primarily focus on becoming an online magazine initially, with hopes of it being published once again in the near future.

Please be patient as we must first go through our previously published articles & galleries and post them here first in this new site, before moving on to new content.

In the mean time, please do not hesitate to contact us about anything. We'd love to hear from you!
